Movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Diane Lane, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou and Jeremy Strong follow a fisherman’s captain, who is approached by his ex-wife to assassinate her abusive new husband. The first photograph, announced in January 2017, began in July on the island of Mauritius.

Serenity was released on January 25, 2019 by Aviron Pictures in the US. The film has received negative reviews, critics complain of the ridiculous twists, the selfish attitude, and the bad script, though some said it has such bad qualities.
